2012 Deck ProjectThis past winter we finally decided to add a new deck on the back of the house that would allow us to spend more time outside with our famlies on warmer days. We looked around Salem and finally found a builder that gave us a good estimate. During the bidding phase he informed us that a city permit would not be required for this project so we proceeded. At the conclusing of the project and before paying the contractor any money we found a number of major safety items and also discovered that in fact a permit was required.
